Our Play Trays are designed in Australia, specifically for children, ensuring they meet all required standards. They are food safe and non-toxic, using only formaldehyde-free and VOC-free glues and varnishes.

They are made from ethically sourced, sustainable and fast growing timber to support responsible forestry.

Our Play Trays are fit for purpose ensuring they are high quality, durable and waterproof for sensory and messy play.

We ensure fair trade and ethical practices are maintained at all stages of production and have partnered with other family run small businesses to manufacture our trays, which in turn supports their livelihood.

All packaging used is plastic-free, to maintain a low carbon footprint and Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) certified.

Sensory Play has endless benefits for children. It allows them to use their five senses to explore and comprehend complex concepts and make sense of the world around them. It is an important part of early childhood development, to provide children with an opportunity to actively use their senses to encourage crucial brain development.

Sensory play or invitations to play makes learning fun. Through play children can build nerve connections in the brain, develop fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, encourage problem solving and critical thinking and stimulate their imagination and creativity.

Sensory play can encourage children to play and learn independently but can also be a great activity to do together.

Personally, I also enjoy having a creative outlet where I can channel my inner child and re-imagine the world through their eyes.

Hey there! I am Alina, Mumma to one gorgeous boy and founder and creator of Trays for Plays. I started Trays for Plays after discovering the wonderful world of sensory play and all of the great benefits it has for children.

I am a big advocate for using sustainable and eco-friendly products wherever I can, which inspired me to create eco-friendly play trays, using only sustainable materials.

I designed these trays to be used specifically in sensory and messy play, but they can also be re-purposed as a decorative tray when you no longer use them in play.
